Pulmonary Hypertension Described

A clinical syndrome where the blood that leaves the right ventricle or right side of the heart meets with increased pressure. Other organ problems can add to the treatment and or diagnosis of the disease so a differentiation is made between Pulmonary Hypertension and Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. The term "primary" is tacked onto the diagnosis when no other heart or lung problems are present.

Pulmonary Hypertension Causes?

Certain congenital heart diseases may lead to primary pulmonary hypertension if they are left unattended. Science has yet to discover a causes for the disease. All of us as babies typically start life with high pressure in their lungs that rapidly dissipates. When it doesn't, then the babys are diagnosed with persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn.
